MARCH 20: Rally in Alexandria to Voice Opposition to Fast Tracking the Trans-Pacific Partnership

On Friday, concerned residents of Congressman Beyer’s district will be gathering in front of his offices in order to urge the Congressman to stand up for Virginians and oppose fast tracking the Trans-Pacific Partnership with a rally.

 Fast track legislation may soon be introduced by Congress and, if passed, could radically change many aspects of our everyday lives, including food quality, workers’ rights and wages, and the environmental standards that protect the air we breathe and water we drink.  As a result, Virginians are coming together to encourage Congressman Beyer to oppose fast tracking the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal through Congress.

What: A rally with fair trade advocates marching and chanting with signs to urge Congressman Don Beyer to oppose fast tracking the Trans Pacific Partnership. It will include good visuals and video footage.

When: Friday, March 20 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
