Atrion AlwaysOn Symposium Keynoters to Discuss ‘Wow’ Experience, Culture at May 20th Event

Warwick, R.I. – WEBWIRE

Though it’s hard for most business line unit and executive leaders to admit, all too often companies have an organizational culture problem.

“In my early days at Atrion, I never gave much thought to developing culture; in fact the C-word was somewhat taboo,” Atrion CEO Tim Hebert said. “But frequently companies find themselves in a similar situation, neglecting the importance of culture. They soon realize that though they are not necessarily moving backward, they are certainly not moving forward.”

The concept of culture—and its significance in the workplace—will take center stage during Atrion’s May 20th AlwaysOn Symposium (AOS), the company’s one-day signature thought leadership event. This year’s event boasts an impressive speaker lineup including Hebert himself; keynoters and TED talk sensations Maysoon Zayid and Amanda Palmer; and fellow Atrion executives Chief Innovation Officer Chris Poe and Chief Strategy Officer Dave Ramsden. Each speaker will elucidate on the five pillars of a strong culture—ideology (which includes vision, purpose and core values), amazing people and “wow experiences.”

Zayid, who will represent the amazing people pillar, is particularly looking forward to contributing to the attendee “wow” experience and talking about the importance of culture, she said.

“Often, people confuse culture with ethnicity but it’s important to show that culture is much more than someone’s language or dress,” she said. “Culture is all about intersectionality. It is about creating a space where people are free to be the best that they can be. I believe that culture is imperative to any healthy environment and that each person can bring his or her own culture.”

This year’s AOS will be hosted in Atrion’s hometown of Providence, Rhode Island, at the Rhode Island Convention Center. The complimentary event, which attracted more than 500 attendees last year, is open to all Atrion clients and partners. For more information about AOS, or to register, check out the event microsite.
