Ridgefield Park, NJ - September 5, 2006, Agfa announced today that the :Anapurna XL, Agfa’s newest UV wide-format, hybrid roll-to-roll/flatbed printing system for indoor and outdoor signs and displays, will be demonstrated from September 26-29 at SGIA 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada (USA). Attendees of the show will be able to come to the Agfa booth (booth #5000) to see live demos of the newest printing system to offer high-quality printing for roll-to-roll and rigid applications.

The first :Anapurna XL sold in the United States was purchased by Mammoth Media (www.mammothmedia.net), a super-wide format digital printing company based in Weymouth, Massachusetts (USA). Mammoth Media, founded in 2004, produces billboards, banners, vehicle wraps, and many other wide-format items.

“We had been looking to purchase a new UV printer for about a year-and-a-half,” said Mark Rowell, owner and CEO, Mammoth Media. “When we first saw the :Anapurna we recognized that it had several features its competitors did not. Those features included the ability to print six-color up to 98 inches and its white color printing capability,” Rowell added.

Mammoth Media prides itself on its ability to take client projects from conception to completion, as well as quick turnaround times (three days from proof). The addition of the :Anapurna XL to its product line-up increases the company’s print capabilities and further strengthens its offerings to its customers.

“There has been tremendous excitement around the :Anapurna since it made its debut and we expect that excitement to intensify at SGIA,” said Agfa’s Stephen Cutler, marketing manager, Sign, Screen and Display segment, North America. “Companies like Mammoth Media are quickly jumping on board recognizing the :Anapurna’s outstanding printing potential and its ability to produce top quality indoor and outdoor inkjet prints on rigids as well as roll media.”

Live demonstrations of the :Anapurna XL will be held at the Agfa booth (booth #5000) during SGIA (www.sgia.org), September 26-29 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
