PHILADELPHIA, PA – WEBWIRE

Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants in Cherry Hill, Cinnaminson, Marlton and Moorestown are teaming up with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for the 5th Annual March “Month of Giving” fundraising campaign. During the month of March, customers can make a donation to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation at any participating Jersey Mike’s restaurant.

The campaign will culminate in Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 25, when 100 percent of the day’s sales at Jersey Mike’s locations nationwide will go to more than 120 different charities including hospitals, youth organizations, food banks and more.

On the March 25 Day of Giving, the Jersey Mike’s restaurants in Cherry Hill, Cinnaminson, Marlton and Moorestown will donate 100 percent of the day’s sales – every single dollar that comes in – to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. For a list of participating restaurants in your area and for more information on our charity partners, please visit www.jerseymikes.com/mog. Everyone is invited to come in to a local Jersey Mike’s restaurant and enjoy a delicious sub meal.

“We are thrilled that Jersey Mike’s locations in Cherry Hill, Marlton, Moorestown and Cinnaminson will be raising funds and awareness for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation during their Month of Giving,” said Liz Scott, Co-Executive Director of the Foundation. “Through the efforts of generous contributors like Jersey Mike’s, we are moving closer to achieving the dream of my daughter Alex, a cure for all kids with cancer.”

Last year’s Month of Giving campaign raised $2.1 million for 100 different charities nationwide. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for worthy local causes and distributed more than 1 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. In just four years, the program has raised more than $5 million for local charities across the country.

“I would like to extend a personal invitation to come in and enjoy a Jersey Mike’s sub during our Month of Giving,” said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s founder and CEO, who started the company when he was only 17 years old.  “This year we hope to raise more than $2.5 million to support these local causes so we can bring hope to all those involved with the charities and make a difference in people’s lives.”

About Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $100 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 475 pediatric cancer research projects nationally.
