Vivek Ravisankar, HackerRank’s CEO and cofounder, has been named one of the most influential enterprise technology professionals under the age of 30 by Forbes.

Forbes commended Ravisankar for co-founding a company that uses code challenges to connect companies with tech talent across the globe. With over one million developers on its platform, Ravisankar has built a team of employees across Silicon Valley and India and a tech recruiting product that boasts customers such as   Evernote , Bloomberg and Riot Games , maker of the world’s most popular video game, League of Legends .

“I’m deeply passionate about being a part of the movement to even the playing field and let anyone with talent get hired by awesome companies,” said Vivek Ravisankar, CEO and co-founder of HackerRank . “This designation speaks volumes to a global trend in the industry and I’m humbled to be named a Forbes’ 30 under 30 honoree.”

This award comes after a tremendous year of growth for Ravisankar’s company which increased its headcount by 80 percent. Responding to changes in market needs, HackerRank expanded into new industry verticals, creating tools and products for games, retail and finance companies. Furthermore, programmers from across the world flocked to the platform to show their skills in global hackathons called CodeSprints , with a 16-year-old high school student from San Mateo placing tenth and showing that all you need is talent to make a name for yourself. At the same time HackerRank launched DroidRank , a first-of-its-kind product which for the first time used an actual Android source code, unlike--not the commonly used Java, which had been the norm until now--as the basis for evaluation.
