Cox Media Group Houston Takes Home Five Star Awards!

Cox Media Group (CMG) Houston took home five Star Awards at the 2015 Media Alliance of Houston Star Awards Gala on Feb. 12, 2015. The Media Alliance of Houston Star Awards Gala recognizes outstanding industry professionals while supporting the continuous education of media students. 

Laura Filippone named as Local Radio Account Executive of the Year; Cherolyn Johnson as Local Radio Assistant Traffic of the Year; Judy Lakin as Director of Sales of the Year; Mike Murray as National Sales Manager of the Year and Courtney Jenkins as Rising Star of the Year.

“I am extremely proud of our team,” said CMG Houston VP and Market Manager Mark Krieschen.  “2014 was an outstanding year for us and I’m so glad to see our talented folks recognized by their peers.”

With 26 different categories, CMG Houston had a total of eleven nominations for the evening, winning in five categories.
