Divers Direct to attend the Blue Wild Ocean Adventure Expo

The Blue Wild Show will take place in Fort Lauderdale, February 21-22, 2015.

The Blue Wild is a most exciting meeting place for active ocean lovers. Whether you’re spearo, standup paddler, freediver, or photographer -- you’ll leave with new knowledge and appreciation for your sport. You really won’t find more excitement or as many experts under one roof. These markets are alive and thriving.

This February 21-22, Divers Direct will be at The Blue Wild Ocean Adventure Expo. Held at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, The Blue Wild is the largest gathering of freedivers, spearos and watermen in the country. The show will feature more than 130 exhibitors and 30 speakers (including some very special celebrity guest speakers). This weekend-long event is open to the public and, along with the exhibitors, will feature marine artists, pool demos, seminars, a bikini and board short fashion show and The Blue Wild photo contest.

The Blue Wild After Party will take place on Saturday night at the Courtyard Marriott, Fort Lauderdale Beach. Guests will be able to mingle with experts and celebrities, whilst enjoying a BBQ and happy hour drinks.

Divers Direct Presentations

Divers Direct will be presenting two seminars at The Blue Wild Expo:

Lisa Stengel, PADI certified Master Scuba Diver Trainer, will be hosting the “Be a Pro with you GoPro” event, where she will be discussing how to capture the best, most awe-inspiring video with your GoPro camera.

Newly certified FII freediving instructor and longtime maritime expert, Elisa Buller will be hosting the “Stand Up Paddle Yoga Demo”, where she will show attendees everything they need to know about the hottest new craze in board sport fitness.

Photo Contest
The 2015 show will also see the biggest-ever Blue Wild photo contest, sponsored by Divers Direct. Joining the “Macro Underwater Photo” and “Wide-Angle Underwater Photo” categories this year, the brand new “Waterman Lifestyle” category will showcase photography both in and out of the water. The photo contest is open to both professional and amateur photographers; winners can look forward to $3000 total in prize giveaways.

Along with sponsoring the photo contest, Divers Direct is helping produce the first annual Blue Wild Bikini and Boardshort Fashion Show. It will feature all the latest watersport fashions for anyone who leads an active saltwater lifestyle. The models will feature local FAU students.
