AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology Introduces ORTEC Renaissance 7 Whole Body Counting Software
The ORTEC Products Group of AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology has announced the release of RENAISSANCE 7 software that maximizes the productivity of Health Physics Internal Contamination Monitoring when using high-purity germanium (HPGe) and sodium iodide detection systems.
New features in RENAISSANCE 7 include compatibility with 64-bit Windows® 7 / 8.1 Professional and Crystal Reports 11.5 software; operational and security options for the Operator Module; and vastly improved spectrum analysis with the incorporation of the latest GammaVision analysis engines and sodium iodide algorithm improvements.
“Renaissance 7 is a comprehensive application that incorporates all of the gamma spectrometry functions and processes necessary for efficient and accurate internal contamination monitoring applications,” states Ken Embury, Product Manager for ORTEC Products.
“This update provides key customer benefits to drive continued growth in Whole Body Counting and other internal contamination monitoring programs associated with nuclear power generation and fuel cycle operations, radioactive waste management, and government/research nuclear materials programs.”
ORTEC has more than 50 years of experience in the design and manufacture of highly sensitive radiation detectors used by government and industrial laboratories, nuclear facilities and medical research and in nuclear safeguards. ORTEC is the leading supplier of high-resolution HPGe-based radiation identifiers.
AMETEK’s ORTEC Products Group is a unit of AMETEK, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with annual sales of $4.0 billion.
