The adidas Group has again been recognised as an employer of choice in Germany and China. The German magazine Focus has this year again named the adidas Group as the Top Employer in Germany. The Group thus maintains its top ranking in the category ’Apparel, Footwear and Sports Equipment’. In addition, the Top Employers Institute in China has ranked the adidas Group as one of the country’s leading employers for the third consecutive time.

We are delighted that we have again been recognised as a top employer. It shows us that our culture, our passion for sport and our brands are unique worldwide. Our ambition is to create the best working environment, also in order to attract talent from all over the world to our Group.

Herbert Hainer, CEO of the adidas Group

The adidas Group has also received outstanding employer rankings in the UK (Britain’s Healthiest Company 2014) and South Africa (Top Employer Certification 2015). In addition, the sporting goods company again maintained its top position in the employer ranking ’Working in Fashion 2014’, a market research study conducted by the German Textilwirtschaft magazine.

The adidas Group has grown continuously over the last few years and employs 54,763 people worldwide, including 5,472 in Germany (as at December 31, 2014). In 2015, the Group will continue to grow, creating more than 200 new jobs in Germany alone. The adidas Group has invested intensively into its headquarter location in Herzogenaurach, with the opening of the company’s own day-care centre for 110 children, a gym and a multi-storey car park. Two new office buildings with space for up to 3,600 employees and a conference centre will be integrated in the World of Sports over the next few years.
