’Dogstar’ Books Launches Art Competition

Opportunity for your artwork to become the special edition book front cover PLUS win £500 commission with a top marketing company

Haslemere, Surrey, UK – WEBWIRE

Create a piece of fan art for the urban fantasy novel, Dogstar and win a truly awesome opportunity for work.

Released in late 2014, Dogstar was Jez Campbell’s debut novel. A somewhat surprising success, Dogstar has reached #2 in the Amazon urban fantasy charts and broke into the top 20 Amazon horror charts on both sides of the Atlantic.

About Dogstar
Dogstar is An American Werewolf in London meets Trainspotting, the first in a trilogy:
‘Say hello to dogstar Pete, sink estate druggie turned werewolf thief. He’s got a nice line in robbing dealers, stashing cash and planning for his get-out-of-London. The dog’s life, right? And all’s sweet until he finds himself banged up in the pound, behind bars, sentenced to death and realising he’s not the only dog in town. Now things ain’t looking so good. Maybe this time, Pete’s bitten off more than he can chew.’

Dogstar’s cover artwork was produced by award-winning illustrator Nye Wright and designer Simon Avery

Following on from Nye and Simon’s amazing work, the challenge is to create a piece of Dogstar art that will appear as a special edition front cover of the novel. Artists may want to visually dramatise a certain moment in the book they enjoyed, or draw their interpretation of a favourite character. They may even want to encapsulate the whole essence of Dogstar into a piece of fantastic artwork. Competitors can be as creative, mad and expressive as they like. We’re looking for wild imagination in the spirit of the book!

Dogstar will be free to download from January 29th to February 2nd from Amazon.
