Increasing supply chain within manufacturing with Machine-to-Machine technology

Marketing Release - The efficiency of the manufacturing supply chain is being increased through the usage of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technology. Vodafone has recently published an Insights Guide that explains M2M in further detail.
 
Machine-to-Machine technology can ensure that the supply chain maintains efficiency in real-time by passing data back and forth across the whole of the production line, monitoring production levels, reviewing targets, and making sure that faults can be fixed automatically.
 
Machines in the supply chain are able to learn and adapt to their surroundings and make real-time decisions without needing to be managed by a human supervisor. M2M, also known as the ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT), can diversify the business model, giving manufactures the opportunity to stay ahead of global competition.
 
Research conducted by Pew Research Centre states that 83% of experts surveyed acknowledged that M2M technology would have a beneficial effect on the industry over the next ten years.
