Nikon supports AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015

Nikon sponsors the AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015, to be hosted by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and held in Australia from January 9 to 31, 2015.

The Asian Cup is a prestigious football tournament held once every four years. Sixteen teams will vie to become the top national team in Asia. The winner of the competition will qualify for the FIFA Confederations Cup.

The national teams taking part in the competition are as follows:

Australia, Korea Republic, Oman, Kuwait, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, China PR, DPR Korea, IR Iran, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Japan, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine

Nikon will support the event as an official supporter of the AFC. This is the fourth consecutive year that Nikon has supported the event.

The Nikon logo will be visible around the pitches at all matches as well as on photographers’ bibs. Furthermore, Nikon will operate a service depot at the stadiums to provide support such as camera maintenance and equipment rental for accredited photographers.

In addition, Nikon Australia Pty Ltd. will conduct on-site promotions during the event to boost the excitement of the tournament.

Matches will be broadcast in a number of Asian countries, Australia and all over the Middle East through different media.

Nikon will continue to support a range of international sporting events as it has a great respect for athletes, who are constantly testing their own limits, and wants to enhance its presence worldwide.
