M2M technology enables the manufacturing supply chain – see how in Vodafone’s new Insight Guide
Marketing Release – Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technology is helping to optimise the supply chain for organisations in the manufacturing industry through a variety of methods – some of these methods have been outlined in an M2M Insight Guide recently published by Vodafone.
M2M enables manufacturers at every stage to monitor and maintain daily operations. Any changes in the market can be dealt with through M2M, allowing manufactures to keep up with the supply and demand efficiently.
Through the use of M2M technology, companies can reduce complexity and focus on developing new and thorough business models, which not only deliver high levels of return on investment, but also enables firms to communicate new services to the end customer.
Stefan Hubner, Chief Operating Officer of Device Insights GmbH, states, “The end customer for any machine is always worried about keeping the machine productive. Every machine deteriorates through use, so it’s best to get to it before it breaks down rather than after – when the production line has stopped.”
Vodafone has outlined how the manufacturing industry is using M2M technology in its recently published M2M Insight Guide, which can be viewed here.
