Unilabs unifies its brand in German-speaking Switzerland and concludes a new contract with a Geneva hospital
August 30, 2006
Starting September 18, 2006, Unilabs will extend its brand name to all its laboratories in Germanspeaking Switzerland. Until now, these laboratories had kept the names they had prior to Unilabsí acquisition. A similar operation took place in French-speaking and Italian-speaking Switzerland in January 2006, thus enabling all the groupís Swiss laboratories to carry the Unilabs name and benefit from the brandís scientific reputation. This will also encourage a strengthening of the scientific collaboration between the laboratories, which remain in the same location and will continue to provide the first-class medical care and services expected by patients and physicians.
Unilabs also announces that, effective on September 1, a partnership contract has been signed with the Clinique de la Colline in Geneva. This new contract builds on a long-standing collaboration with several other private hospitals in Geneva.
The Unilabs Group (SWX: ULB) is the European leader of clinical testing laboratories. With over 51 laboratories and over 1500 employees operating in 6 countries, Unilabs tests over 3.5 million samples per year using more than 1500 different tests. Unilabsí clinical testing services are used by over 60 public and private hospitals in France, Spain and Switzerland. Unilabs has been listed on the SWX Swiss Stock Exchange since 1997.
