Zito Media Increases Susanville, CA Internet Capacity
Zito Media announces that it has completed the installation of its new 10K Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) in its Susanville, CA system.† A CMTS is the equipment that is installed in a cable operatorís headend that enables the communication over the operators Hybrid Fiber Coaxial Cable network between the cable modems that are deployed in customerís homes and the internet circuits that are delivered to the headend.†
The new 10K CMTS will enable Zito Media to immediately increase the internet capacity of its cable plant by 300 Mbps.† With additional CMTS cards the new unit is capable of growing capacity to almost 4 Gbps, which should position Zito to deliver a high quality internet service and meet growing customer demand for internet capacity in the future.†
