EXHIBITOR Magazine Survey Confirms Technology as a Marketing Tool will Increase in 2015

Exhibitor Media Group, the award-winning leader in trade show and corporate event marketing education, today announced the results of EXHIBITOR magazine’s 2014 Marketing Technology Survey, the third in a series of research efforts that has been tracking the adoption and application of exhibit- and event-related technologies, along with their associated benefits.
A whopping 97 percent of the respondents indicated that technology has “limitless” or “moderate” potential in the context of exhibit and event marketing. Furthermore, 81 percent expect the importance of technology as a marketing tool to increase “significantly” or “somewhat” in 2015.
Ninety-five percent of respondents currently incorporate technology into their marketing efforts, with 86 percent using various technologies to specifically enhance their exhibit-marketing efforts and 53 percent who report incorporating technology into their companies’ corporate events.
The technologies with the most momentum appear to be proximity marketing (RFID, NFC), projection technologies, augmented reality, and virtual events. Each of the aforementioned technologies is poised for an increased adoption rate of at least 50 percent.
