Swedish Flic is Ready for Primetime, Launches Crowdfunding Campaign for World’s First Wireless Device To Control Your Smartphone with a Push of a Button

Stockholm – (November 17, 2014) – Built by Shortcut Labs, a Swedish startup from the Sweden’s top university, the Royal Institute of Technology, Flic is the first-ever wireless button that makes accessing everyday apps and functions as easy as pushing it. Today, the company is launching a Indiegogo campaign with the goal of raising $80,000 to help release its first batch of devices.

Need it Now: Whether you need a Taxi or an ambulance, sending a pickup request or distress message will be as simple and accessible as simply pushing your Flic. No more struggling with the phone in order to control your home automation devices, have Flic set up in your home to instantly start your favorite playlist.
 
3-in-1: Flic ‘s functions are predefined by the user through the Flic app. Flic can be triggered in three different ways: single click, double click and hold, meaning that the user can set three different functions per Flic, which are easily customizable in the Flic app.
 
Share it: There is virtually no limit on how many devices you can connect to one Flic, or how many Flics you can connect to one device. With Flic, even your spouse and kids can turn on the home automation devices. The Flic app even stores users’ predefined Flic functions to streamline functionality for new Flics or smartphones.
 
Use it: Since Flic’s functions can be predefined, it allows smart functions to be accessible to people who may normally be excluded from innovation, including the elderly or visually impaired. With Flic, everything is just a button away.
