Thirteen year old Tilly Ramsay is set to follow in her famous Dad’s footsteps as she presents Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch. This brand new cookery show for CBBC will combine delicious food, real-life sitcom and a girl who just loves to cook.

The series, commissioned by CBBC Controller Cheryl Taylor, will follow Tilly as she heads to LA for an unforgettable summer with her family. Whilst the Ramsays experience everything that LA can throw at them, she cooks her way through the very best of US and British dishes - all with her unique twists. Tilly sets out to prove that her father isn’t the only chef in the Ramsay household as she creates dishes to accompany Bollywood themed parties, stunt lessons at a film studio, daredevil zip-wiring and surf days on the beach.

Cheryl Taylor, Controller of CBBC said: “Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch is a charming series full of fabulous food, captivating culinary tips and plenty of magical moments as Tilly and her family enjoy their summer holiday in LA. Tilly is an enthusiastic cook with a really mischievous and bubbly personality and I think the CBBC audience will be inspired by her recipes and thoroughly entertained by all the Ramsay family fun.”

It is clear that Tilly shares her Dad’s passion and talent for cooking but the series will also give glimpses of her glamorous lifestyle and reveal that the world of the Ramsays is actually not that different from every other family in the UK.

Matilda Ramsay said: “I love cooking and it’s really exciting to have been able to make the series. My dad has given me a few cookery tips but I love experimenting in the kitchen and coming up with my own recipes. I really hope viewers enjoy it and maybe host their own food parties.”

Matilda’s family also make appearances on the show including her father Gordon, mum Tana and her siblings - big sister Megan (16), her 13-year-old brother Jack and his twin sister Holly.

Matilda and The Ramsay Bunch (15 x 15mins) is made by One Potato Two Potato, an All3Media Company. The Executive Producer for CBBC is Hugh Lawton. Paul Ratcliffe, Gordon Ramsay, Pat Llewellyn and Sue Murphy are Executive Producers for One Potato Two Potato. The series will be shown on CBBC in 2015.
