Kcom re-signs framework agreement to deliver voice services in Scotland

Communications specialist Kcom has been awarded a contract by the Scottish Government for their Fixed Telephony Services Framework Agreement.

Kcom, part of the KCOM Group, is able to deliver a full range of voice services including SIP based connectivity, to local authorities, police forces, NHS trusts and other public sector bodies throughout Scotland.

In 2010, the Scottish Government launched the Fixed Telephony Framework, which focuses on delivering a range of innovative and competitive voice services. The Framework was updated this year due to its success and range of benefits that it offers, such as reduced procurement costs and shared procurement expertise.

Afshin Attari, Director of Public Sector, says: “We’re pleased that Kcom has been selected to join the framework once again.

“Our experience in delivering a range of voice services including speech recognition and self-service options means we are in the best position to help organisations looking to transform their customer experience.  Despite the growth in multi-channel customer contact, including the use of web-chat and social media, the phone remains a popular means of contacting organisations.  We look forward to continuing to deliver innovative and cost effective services within Scotland’s public Sector.”
