Iomega Triple-Interface Black Series Tops Comparison Test

SAN DIEGO, August 28, 2006 - Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in data protection, announced today that the Iomega® Triple Interface Professional Series (Black Series) Hard Drive has received the coveted “Quick Picks” designation from Consumer Reports® magazine as the highest rated backup drive in the September 2006 issue.

Consumers Union, the publisher of Consumer Reports magazine, is the largest nonprofit educational and consumer product testing center in the world. It reports a circulation of approximately 4 million subscribers for Consumer Reports magazine, which published the September review of external backup drives.

In a review of six competing backup hard disk drives, the Iomega Triple Interface Professional Series Hard Drive topped the Consumer Reports’ list as the only external hard drive to earn an overall rating of “Excellent.” Software features, ease of use, and ability to maximize storage through file compression contributed to Iomega’s top rating.

In the category of network drives, Iomega’s StorCenter Network Hard Drive received a high ranking, as well, finishing second and also earning an “Excellent” rating.

“Along with the increasing recognition in the marketplace and among users that Iomega is receiving for its external hard drives and network hard drives, we are delighted to earn the recommendation of a universally respected organization like Consumers Union,” said Jonathan Huberman, Chief Executive Officer, Iomega Corporation. “The review in Consumer Reports underlines how easy and inexpensive it is to save and back up irreplaceable files, photos, and documents with a versatile hard drive like the Iomega Triple Interface Professional Series External Hard Drive.”
