Cubic Awarded $15 Million Contract to Deliver Training and Resource Support for the U.S. Army

Cubic to Provide Mission Command Training Capabilities Services for the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Mission Training Complex


Cubic Applications, Inc., an operating company of the Mission Support Services business segment of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), today announced it has been awarded a task order contract valued at more than $15 million under the U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) Operations Training and Resource Support Services (OPTARSS) II multiple award indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for the Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Mission Training Complex (MTC).

The task order leverages Cubicís expertise and leadership in training support services and live, virtual, constructive, gaming (LVCG) technologies. Cubic will assist the U.S. Army by providing contracted services to support the operational mission requirements of JBLM, FORSCOM, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), and others throughout the Department of Defense (DoD). Cubicís technical support will provide the JBLM MTC with the capability to enable individual and collective training, leadership development, Warfighter Functions training, first person simulations and constructive simulations supporting facilities management and access control.

The contract award further strengthens Cubicís role as a key global provider of LVCG technology services for the DoD. The OPTARSS II multiple award ID/IQ contract acquires services in support of the training requirements, oversight and evaluation of the training of various component units of the U.S. Army including the Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve. FORSCOM also partners with Training and Doctrine Command, Installation Management Command, and other Army components to support all aspects of combat readiness worldwide.

The task order includes a transition period, one base year, and two one-year options. Cubicís Operations Support and Education Group (OSEG), based in Hampton, Va., will lead Cubic in execution of this contract. Cubicís OPTARSS II Program Director, Wayne Parks will continue to lead the Cubic OPTARSS II team. Parks has more than 27 years of military experience, having served as an enlisted soldier and career officer with the U.S .Army.

Work will be performed predominately at the JBLM military installation and when required, the Yakima Training Center. Cubic personnel will serve at various locations within, and outside, the Continental U.S. in support of training events.
