HBO Receives 26 Primetime Emmy® Awards, the Most of Any Network This Year; Elizabeth I Leads All Shows With 9 Emmys®

August 28, 2006 - HBO received 26 Primetime Emmy® Awards, the most of any network, in the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards competition. The awards received by the network this year reflect the diversity of HBO’s original programming, ranging from series and original movies to documentaries and family specials.

Elizabeth I topped HBO’s list of winners with 9 awards, the most Emmys® of any show on TV this year. Baghdad ER and Rome both received 4 awards, while The Girl in the Cafe received 3 awards.
