Chicago Native Takes the Miss United Nations USA Crown
International pageant values diplomatic poise, intelligence, and global activism; encourages strict code of decorum for 80+ global delegates.
United Nations Pageants announces that the reigning Miss United Nations USA 2015 is twenty-five year old Mischaela Advani of Chicago. The American delegate stands a statuesque 5’10", but it wasn’t her model good looks and enviable height that won her the coveted title in the Miss United Nations pageant.
Mischaela has a track record of involvement with the United Nations and its associated entities. The newly crowned beauty queen delivered the closing address for the 2012 United Nations Day celebration. Her speech on the prevalence of human trafficking in developing countries brought many spectators to tears as she informed the audience that the standard rate of an exchange for a young woman like herself was $250,000 USD.
Her involvement with the United Nations Association USA and support of initiatives such as the Girl Up campaign make her an ideal fit for the pageant system, which encourages titleholders to use their platforms as beauty queens to campaign for change and support charitable causes. Ms. Advani’s year commences with a celebration of the 69th anniversary of the formation of the United Nations and will carry throughout the 2015 year.
