The Post Brewing Company Brings Home Award from Great American Beer Festival

Howdy Revisionist American Pilsner wins silver medal

Boulder, Colorado USA – WEBWIRE

It’s huge to win a medal after only 10 months in operation. The award is a testament to a whole lot of hard work and our driving commitment to brew reliably delicious, drinkable beers.

Newcomer The Post Brewing Company wowed the crowd at the Great American Beer Festival last weekend, bringing home the Silver Medal for Best American-style/International-style Pilsner in the year-old company’s debut appearance.

“It’s huge to win a medal after only 10 months in operation,” said Bryan Selders, Brewmaster at The Post Brewing Company. “The award is a testament to a whole lot of hard work and our driving commitment to brew reliably delicious, drinkable beers.”

Weighing in at 4.5% ABV, Howdy Beer is a smooth, drinkable pilsner featuring American hop flavor and aroma, giving way to a delicate malt flavor and finishing crisp and clean.

This year’s GABF was the biggest yet, with 5,507 commercial entries in 89 categories and over 3,500 beers from 700 American breweries in the packed hall.  The panel of judges was composed of industry professionals and expert judges in a blind sample.

Although there were 41 contestants for Best American-style/International-style Pilsner, only the medalists’ names were revealed.

In addition to entering Howdy Beer into the Competition, The Post poured pints of Townie Ale, Meathooks Dark Mild Ale, and Big Rosie Porter at their exhibition booth, giving many fest-goers their first introduction to The Post’s year-old brewing program.

As thrilling as it was to win an award, Selders admits that his favorite part of the festival will always be sharing beers with friends.

“The best part of the festival was having the opportunity to have fun and share great beers, both ours and others, with co-workers and friends both old and new. That’s all I ever look forward to at the GABF.”
