Old Savannah Insurance Agency ‘s Community Program Introduces a New Charity Campaign in Savannah, GA to Help Support a Running Program and Event Created to Inspire Young Girls to be Healthy and Confident

Savannah, GA – Old Savannah Insurance Agency debuts the new charity campaign in its recognized Community Program in Savannah, GA, and announces that will direct its efforts to raise funds for Girls on the Run’s ‘Happiest Run Around Town’ 5K event, next December 13. The proceeds of the campaign will be used to purchase supplies for the girls who participate in the program, and are preparing for the run. Items such as running journals, curriculum supplies, t-shirts, 5K medals and healthy snacks are much needed, since 73% of the girls are currently enrolled through full scholarship. Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. It’s a transformational physical activity based on a positive youth development program for girls in 3rd to 8th grade.
 
“This program helps young women emotionally and physically, and teaches them confidence,” said James Grusheski, the Agency’s principal, “This is such an important time of their lives, and we are very excited to help them get properly prepared for their annual run!”
