West Melbourne Brakes for Breasts Campaign Starts

Recognizing the toll that breast cancer takes on women and their families, Rich’s Auto Technology Services, is doing its part to stop it with their Brakes for Breasts Campaign.

During the October fundraiser, Brevard residents get free brake pads and 10% of the labor costs go directly to an organization that is pursuing a cure for cancer.

This is the second year Rich’s Auto Technology Services is participating in the program.

“I believe in doing what is best for the people in Brevard County,” said Richard Naber, the owner of Rich’s Auto Technology Services. “I can’t think of a better cause than helping cure breast cancer, something that kills our mothers, wives, daughters, and sisters.”

Naber said giving back to the community is important to him, which is why he supports many local non-profits and efforts like this.

To help raise funds, all people have to do when they come into the shop, located on 39 Northwest Irwin Ave, West Melbourne, is get their brakes fixed during October.

“Having good, working brakes is crucial,” Naber said. "Having the woman we love free of the fear of breast cancer is even more important. So, if you need brakes, October is the time to get them.

Naber is hoping to beat last year’s goal of $1,300.

Rich’s Autotech is a full-service auto and truck repair shop in West Melbourne. It has been serving the people of Brevard since 2001.
