Microsoft Software Architect Ulrich Homann Named as Banquet Speaker for SAE International 2014 Convergence

Ulrich Homann, Chief Architect, WW Enterprise Services, Microsoft Corporation will serve as the Banquet Keynote Speaker for the 40th annual SAE Convergence.

SAE Convergence, which will be held Oct. 21-22, 2014, at COBO Center in Detroit, brings together technology leaders from across the Globe to address the impact of electronics systems and the issues critical to mobility electronics implementation. This year’s event features a compelling line-up focusing on the most relevant issues surrounding electronics technology. Chrysler Group LLC will serve as Host Company for the event.

The title of Mr. Homann’s presentation will be, “From cars to drivers - the journey to the brand of one.” The talk will show real-life examples of solutions such as alerting customers of conditional maintenance needs in real-time, share data between sales, service and marketing systems, and better manage the customer lifecycle end-to-end, including warranties and recalls.

As part of Microsoft’s engineering leadership team, Mr. Homann is responsible for enterprise scenarios and focus across the cloud and enterprise platform. Previously, Homann served as the Chief Architect for Microsoft worldwide enterprise services. As part of the office of the CTO, he was responsible for the management and enterprise architecture of key strategic projects all over the world.

He was responsible for setting adoption and support strategy for the key technologies and its relevancy in the worldwide services business as well developing new senior technical talent.

The annual banquet will be held 7-9:30 p.m. at COBO Center, Grand Ballroom B on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The banquet is sponsored by Vector.
