New Book “We Survive To Thrive” Is Set To Release October 2014 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Atlanta, GA – WEBWIRE

When we identify our dream and take the steps to make it a reality, we are then living on purpose. -Paula

Following up on the success of her first book, “Dreams, Hopes and Possibilities: A Breast Cancer Survivor’s Story of a Dream Come True” (August, 2013; Amazon), Paula Smith Broadnax offers her growing readership a new collection of personal narratives chronicling the survival of those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer—but who have chosen to thrive and live a prosperous, enriched life.
“We Survive to Thrive”, a collection of 10 powerful, life-affirming testimonies (including tribute to breast cancer advocate Ernestine “Ernie” McMillan), is indeed, shaped to inspire anyone who has journeyed through any type of challenge in life. Included are stories from contributors, ranging in age from 49 to 67 (some having survived for 30 years), who were once labeled “survivors” but who have been thriving since their diagnosis. Broadnax states that she has felt “called” to gather these stories, saying: “It is my belief that when God created each of us, He placed a dream in our heart that only we can achieve. He wants us to identify that dream, and step out in faith to make it happen.”
Most recently, Broadnax has collaborated with another 17-year breast cancer survivor, Valerie Henderson of ValsFancies, who is a jewelry designer. Henderson has created the exclusive line called PAULA’S PINK PEARLS. The collection, known as P.I.N.K. 4 C.U.R.E., consists of eight uniquely crafted sets of pink pearl jewelry (necklace, bracelet, earrings); six designs are currently released online. The final two will be available October, 2014.
A portion of all proceeds from books and jewelry sales goes to support breast cancer awareness. For a limited time only, “We Survive to Thrive” will be available for half off the retail price (paperback; price $14.98) Plus for two days only, October 18-19 2104, Mrs. Broadnax will offer “Dreams, Hopes and Possibilities” as a  FREE download on Kindle for breast cancer awareness month.
Paula encourages people to understand that to achieve anything in life requires faith and belief in themselves. Her desire is to inspire others not to give up or lose hope and assure them that the possibilities are endless if one decides to act versus react. Paula’s Pearls of Wisdom is sent to her community every Wednesday at  More information about her books, jewelry, upcoming events, speaking engagements are available online at: AND
