Acer Debuts on Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index

For the first time, Acer has been selected for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), one of the world’s leading sustainability indices. Acer is listed on the DJSI Emerging Markets Index which includes the top 10 percent performing companies out of the 800 companies invited to participate in this assessment. This result is a confirmation of Acer’s efforts to improve sustainability across the entire spectrum of its business. Acer performed exceptionally well in the fields of Supply Chain Management and Brand Management.

The DJSI is one of the world’s premier sustainability indices that monitor the performance of the world’s leading companies in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria. It assesses various areas, including risk and supply chain management, operational eco-efficiency, product stewardship, human capital development and occupational health and safety.

While this is the debut of Acer on the DJSI, it is not the first time the company has been recognized for excellence in corporate sustainability and social responsibility. Since 2012, Acer has been consistently featured on the Reputation Institute’s CSR RepTrack® 100 list. In individual sustainability fields such as green products, Acer has also garnered various recognitions of its efforts, including the 2014 “Computex Green ICT Award” and “SEAD Global Efficiency Medal” for the Acer V6 monitor.
