Harris Corporation Appoints Peter Martin as Asia-Pacific Marketing Manager for its Broadcast Communications Division


CINCINNATI, August 23, 2006 — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) today announced the appointment of Peter Martin to the position of marketing manager for its Broadcast Communications Division in the Asia-Pacific region. Martin’s position enhances the company’s marketing presence in the fast-growing Asia-Pacific realm and provides support for an expanding customer base with leadership from an industry veteran. Based in Hong Kong, Martin will work closely with the Broadcast Communications sales force and product management team to promote awareness of the Harris brand and its end-to-end product portfolio, while building and strengthening customer relationships.

Martin comes to Harris with more than 14 years of international experience in strategic sales and marketing, channel distribution, branding, and regional business and partnership development with companies including Tektronix (Hong Kong) Ltd., Grass Valley Group and Headstrong, a global IT, application outsourcing and systems integration consultancy.
