PENTAX K-3 Digital SLR Camera Wins “EISA European Advanced DSLR Camera 2014-2015”

RICOH IMAGING AMERICAS CORPORATION proudly announces that the PENTAX K-3, the flagship of the PENTAX digital SLR camera K series, has been selected as the EISA European Advanced DSLR Camera 2014-2015 by the prestigious European Imaging and Sound Association.

The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) is an organization comprised of 50 leading Photo, Video, Audio and Home Theater, In-car Electronics, and Mobile Device magazines from 20 European countries. Each year, EISA honors the outstanding representatives from all of the products introduced to the European market in the previous year, and rewards the winners of the different categories.　　　　
In its official product citation, EISA noted that “The PENTAX K-3 has many professional-level features: a weather-resistant body with 92 dust and moisture seals; an image-stabilized 24-megapixel CMOS sensor; an advanced 86,000-pixel RGB metering sensor and 8.3fps high-speed burst shooting. RICOH IMAGING has developed an ingenious solution to eliminate the risk of moiré.  The K-3’s AA (anti-aliasing) filter simulator uses the sensor’s stabilization motors to gently vibrate the sensor during exposure. The Prime III processor enables shooting up to ISO 51,200 with low image noise, while the new SAFOX 11 AF system features 27 points for fast and accurate focusing. With a great feature set, high image quality and a comprehensive range of lenses and accessories, the PENTAX K-3 is a great choice for the enthusiast photographer. ”
