Be-On-Road App is Acquired by Sygic in Landmark Deal

Sygic has acquired Be-On-Road App in a landmark acquisition that makes Sygic one of the largest players in the Navigation category world-wide. With over 55 million downloads, Sygic’s portfolio of apps are now ranked in the global top 10 of App Annie Intelligence’s Top Apps market report.
 
With this strategic acquisition, Sygic now participates in all tiers of the navigation app market: low-end smartphone navigation, premium smartphone navigation, and automotive. Be-On-Road is aimed at the low-end navigation market, providing a no-cost offline navigation solution for drivers derived from free community based maps. It will be managed and maintained with a separate development team and remain a separate product.

Sygic Navigation App will maintain its position as world class premium navigation app, with high-quality TomTom map data and premium features such as 3D maps, land marks, lane assistant, heads-up display (HUD), junction views, and speed cameras. Be-on-road will serve the price sensitive segment with community-based map data. Sygic Navigation App is also available for in-car navigation devices as recently announced by Jaguar-Landrover, with all of the same great features for which Sygic has become known.
 
 
Be-On-Road is available on Google Play and the App Store for free.
