Acer Wins Reader’s Digest Asia Trusted Brand Award
Acer has been honored by Reader’s Digest with a “Gold” 2014 Asia Trusted Brand Award in the Consumer Electronics category. Asia Trusted Brand Awards are given to brands that win the Trusted Brand Award in the same category for at least three Asian markets surveyed. This year Acer won the awards for Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.
For Acer, this latest recognition is another affirmation of its brand preference among consumers. Earlier this year, the Reputation Institute named Acer as one of the world’s most reputable companies on its 2014 Global RepTrak® 100 list. In addition to this, Acer was also recently voted by German consumers as their favorite projector brand and awarded a 2014 Leser (Reader’s) Award by Screen Magazine.
Now in its 16th year, the Reader’s Digest Asia Trusted Brand survey is considered a premier consumer-based, international measure of brand preference. It is carried out by leading global market research company Ipsos in 5 key Asian markets including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore and the Philippines.
Those who topped the survey, awarded with either a “Gold” or “Platinum” award, came from various industries like food and beverage, personal products, finance, automotive, consumer electronics, health and personal care, household products, retail, education, transport, travel and telecommunications, and were chosen based on the six attributes of trustworthiness and credibility, quality, value, understanding of customer needs, innovation, and corporate social responsibility.
