Just Over Two Weeks Left to Submit Completed Applications for the Fall 2014 CIH Exam

August 1st is the deadline for the submitting applications for the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) final exam period of this year.

Lansing, MI – WEBWIRE

With just over two weeks left before the August 1st deadline for Applicants to submit their completed applications, the staff at the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) is working diligently to ensure that all paperwork they receive is processed for those planning to take the Fall CIH Exam.  The exam period runs from October through November and this is the last opportunity in 2014 to take the CIH exam.

A completed application is required to be eligible to sit for the Fall Exam.  The following information must be received by August 1st to become a successful Applicant:

  1. Application Forms, Fees and Deadlines
  2. College or University Degree Transcripts (International Degrees may require extra steps)
  3. IH Related Courses Documentation Form
  4. Work Experience Documentation
  5. Professional References Questionnaires

“Once everything has been received and processed, Applicants will be notified if they are now approved Candidates for the Fall Exam,” said Tracy Parsons, CIH, Administrative Program Manager at ABIH.  “We encourage Candidates to then begin looking into scheduling their exam appointment through Prometric Testing Centers and paying the exam fees.  Prometric has testing facilities that are available worldwide, but exam slots can fill up fast.  This is especially true at the end of the testing window.”

The next exam period for those who miss the current deadline is the Spring 2015 CIH Exam.  The deadline for all application materials to be submitted is February 1st and the exam period runs from April through May.

The complete application process and all of the requirements to become a CIH have been clearly defined by ABIH in a downloadable document that can be accessed at:
