CEB pushes for more Taipei traffic with bigger aircraft, seat sale

Manila, Philippines – WEBWIRE

The Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific Air (PSE:CEB) extends the use of bigger aircraft between Taipei and Manila this August and holds a P699 seat sale, to further stimulate traffic between the two cities.

From August 5 to 30, 2014, up to three of CEB’s seven weekly Manila-Taipei-Manila flights will utilize a 436-seater Airbus A330 aircraft. CEB will utilize a 180-seater Airbus A320 aircraft for the rest of the week.

The airline previously upgraded the aircraft used for this route from May 2 to July 19, 2014 to accommodate summer traffic.

“We encourage guests to take advantage of the additional seats to Taipei, and book our trademark lowest fares when planning their trips. They can take this opportunity to explore not just Taipei but also other parts of Northern Taiwan,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

Iyog cited a trip to Keelung as an example, as this major port city borders New Taipei. Keelung is known as one of the most important sites for the Mid-Summer Ghost Festival ceremonies.

CEB holds a P699 seat sale between Manila and Taipei until July 12, 2014 or until seats last. This is for travel from August 15 to November 30, 2014. After the seat sale, lowest year round fares from Manila to Taipei start at P1,089.

For bookings and inquiries, guests can go to www.cebupacificair.com, or call the reservation hotlines (02)7020-888 or (032)230-8888. The latest seat sales can also be found on CEB’s official Twitter (@CebuPacificAir) and Facebook pages.

Aside from Taipei, CEB offers flights to 25 other international destinations, namely Bali, Bangkok, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Dubai, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon (Seoul), Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, Macau, Nagoya, Osaka, Phuket, Shanghai, Siem Reap, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Xiamen.

CEB’s 50-strong fleet is comprised of 10 Airbus A319, 28 Airbus A320, 4 Airbus A330 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. It is one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Between 2014 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 11 more brand-new Airbus A320, 30 Airbus A321neo, and 2 Airbus A330 aircraft.
