WEBWIRE

Dallas, TX, August 22, 2006, Software Spectrum, a global provider of business software services and mobile enterprise solutions, and a subsidiary of Level 3 Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: LVLT), announced today that it has signed a business alliance agreement with Vaultus Mobile Technologies, a leader in application integration and mobile corporate data access.
Vaultus makes it possible for enterprises to extend their existing sales and CRM solutions, reporting dashboards, and Field Service/IT Help Desk applications to BlackBerryTM and Windows® Mobile devices. Vaultus’ unique technology will enable Software Spectrum customers to access and leverage their critical applications and data around-the-clock, even when the device is off the network. With wireless coverage, new data is automatically pushed to the device in real-time and updates are synchronized -- keeping data current, and maximizing employee efficiency and productivity.
Software Spectrum establishes specific solutions for architecting the optimal mobile enterprise, from defining and acquiring complete end-to-end mobile solutions, to deploying and managing ongoing enterprise needs. The ability to extend current solutions into a wireless environment saves time and money for each customer regarding viable applications.

“Together, Vaultus and Software Spectrum can help customers drive significant levels of productivity and efficiency in their Sales and Help Desk teams, and give managers and executives instant access to reports and performance data, enabling them to monitor the pulse of the business and focus on areas that need the most attention,” said David Birnbach, chief executive officer of Vaultus.
Vaultus also mobilizes Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting applications that are important to operations, giving managers real-time access to essential metrics, summaries and performance data from any location.
“We are pleased to add the capabilities that Vaultus offers, because it means our customers can enjoy the same benefits from the business applications they use within a network when they move them into a mobile setting,” said Mike Anderson, director of mobility solutions for Software Spectrum. “It’s a strong complement to our objective of bundling the most cost-effective hardware and software mobile solutions by leveraging existing systems and filling any gaps.”
