Teddytours offers holidays for Soft Toys to Vienna

After 2 weeks holidays in Vienna, visiting St. Stephen´s Cathedral, Schönbrunn Palace and many other famous locations, tiger Jimmy proably was in the best mood of his life.

Offering vacations for teddies is not a very common business model. How this idea came up? “First of all I was inspired by the film The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain”, Guenther Lischka, founder of Teddytours explains. “In this film a garden gnome is sent on a trip around the world. So we thought that many people have a soft toy somewhere around, which means a lot to them; someone who was always there and gave them a sense of security, joy and warmth. So we thought, after so many years the time has come to pay the soft toy back, to return the favour and send it on holidays to Vienna.”

A teddy tourist group consists of up to 15 teddies and is visiting the most interesting sightseeing places, guided by an experienced tour guide. The teddy is travelling back with an individually produced photo album with the best snapshots, always keeping the trip in mind.

So far, women are the typical customers of Teddytours, but not in all cases, Guenther Lischka states: “We also received orders from males, especially to hand out the photo album as a gift to their wife or girlfriend”.
