AT&T Announces New Contract with Viisage

Identity Solutions Provider Taps AT&T to Deliver New Private Network Solution

San Antonio, Texas, August 21, 2006, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced a new contract with Viisage (NASDAQ: VISG). AT&T will provide a virtual private network (VPN) to this leading identity solutions provider of services that produce driver’s licenses for Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will deploy the network via VPN tunneling services (AVTS). Inherent security risk accompanies any data transported over a public network, and over the past decade, AT&T has worked to employ security protocols for creating VPN “tunnels” for data traveling via the Internet. Through AVTS, Viisage systems will be able to access the Viisage central network from designated locations, enabling a state DMV to have easy access via a VPN to crucial applications for validating, processing, creating and delivering driver’s licenses.

Viisage will be able to more easily and effectively manage, maintain and monitor all components of its network. The AVTS solution further aligns with AT&T’s customer-focused convergence strategy. As a result, Viisage customers have access to a range of fast, reliable communications services.
