Ubisense Vice President of Technology to Present at SME’s THE BIG M

Ubisense, the leader in location intelligence, announced today its vice president of technology, Adrian Jennings, will present at THE BIG M, produced by SME, being held June 9 – 12 in Detroit. The event brings together industry professionals, manufacturers and policymakers focused on transforming manufacturing processes. Jennings will present “The Next Evolution: The Learning Factory” on June 11 at 4 p.m. ET.
 
During his hour-long session, Jennings will discuss what a Digital Factory is and what it could become. Manufacturers of large, high-value products such as passenger, construction and agricultural vehicles will benefit from learning about how assembly plants are becoming smart, and taking the first steps toward being able to learn. The Learning Factory is the next evolution of the Digital Factory – integrating data from many kinds of sensors in order to predict issues and self-diagnose as problems occur. Jennings will explore how the Digital Factory is evolving from recording the past to controlling the present to predicting the future.

About the Speaker
Adrian Jennings serves as the vice president of technology for Ubisense. Prior to joining Ubisense, Jennings was the president and CTO of Time Domain, a technology provider for both civilian and military use. Jennings also served as the leader of the UK Foreign Material Exploitation team and became the designated UK intelligence expert for command guided missile systems. Jennings spent three years with the US Department of Defense as an international technical liaison. He received a master’s degree in physics from Oxford University under an apprenticeship from the UK Ministry of Defense.
