Colonial Williamsburg to Host Golden Horseshoe Invitational and Jones Cup Father/Son Golf Tournament in July

Colonial Williamsburg’s Golden Horseshoe Golf Club will play host to two popular annual events in July: the Golden Horseshoe Invitational and the Jones Cup Father/Son Tournament. Open to the public, both golf gatherings draw players from throughout the Mid-Atlantic and beyond to play the destination’s historic and award-winning courses.

The 22nd Annual Golden Horseshoe Invitational will be held July 12-13 on the Gold Course. Registration for the 36-hole tournament is $460 per team and must be received by July 8.

The Jones Cup Father/Son Tournament, named for the Golden Horseshoe’s renowned father/son golf course architects Robert Trent Jones Sr. and his son Rees Jones, will be held July 19-20. The exciting 36-hole tournament is played on the Gold Course, designed by Jones Sr., and the Green Course designed by Rees, and is one of the first side-by-side father/son layouts in the world.

Each Jones Cup two-person team must include a father/son stepfather/stepson, father-in-law/son-in-law, or grandfather/grandson.
