Avaya Announces New Senior Management Appointments

Avaya Inc., a global provider of business communications software and services, has appointed two new members of the company’s senior executive council with Amy Fliegelman Olli as senior vice president and general counsel and Andrea Cunningham as chief marketing officer.

Amy Fliegelman Olli will join Avaya from CA Technologies, where she held a similar position of responsibility covering all legal, governance, compliance, internal audit, security, risk management and controls. Amy also spent 18 years with IBM Corporation, ultimately serving as Vice President and General Counsel for the Americas and Europe with legal responsibility for 75 percent of IBM’s global sales and a team of more than 200 attorneys located in 30 countries. She is the 2010 Winner of Burton’s Legends in Law award and was named by the Diversity Journal as a “Woman Worth Watching,” and 2014 winner of the Aiming High Award from Legal Momentum.

As chief marketing officer, Andrea Cunningham will be responsible for the strategy and oversight of branding, communications, solutions and product marketing, field marketing and demand generation for Avaya’s portfolio of business communications and collaboration solutions and services. Andrea has had several high-profile roles throughout her career, including launching the Apple Macintosh computer with Steve Jobs and later providing him with public relations services for Pixar through her agency, Cunningham Communication. She is also the founder and president of Series C, a marketing consultancy that works with emerging and public high technology companies. Andrea is on the boards of The Aspen Institute; Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST); and ZERO1: The Art & Technology Network, an organization she founded in 2000 with the mission to shape the future at the intersection of art and technology. She is an Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellow and holds memberships in CEO, TED, Women Corporate Directors and WPO.Both executive council leaders will be based in Avaya’s global headquarters in Santa Clara, Calif.
