The heARTist Exhibition Fashion Show Finale will take place at Northbrook Court on May 13, 2014 at 7PM

Deerfield, IL May 10, 2014 – the Saving tiny Hearts Society and Northbrook Court have partnered once again

Since early April, Northbrook Court has been displaying the artwork of students from seven local high schools.  The student artwork, titled “The heARTist Exhibition” is a friendly competition where anyone can cast a vote for the high school of their choice by making a monetary donation.  One dollar is equal to one vote with the support going to the Saving tiny Hearts Society, a non-profit organization in Deerfield, IL that raises money to fund critical life-saving research for congenital heart defects; the number one birth defect.

The heARTist Exhibition will conclude on Tuesday, May 13th, 2014 at 7PM at Northbook Court with a Fashion Show Finale where students and faculty from the participating high schools will be modeling clothes arranged by Northbrook Court stores.

The seven participating high schools (in order of current standings) are:
·        Glenbrook North
·        Stevenson
·        New Trier
·        Deerfield
·        Highland Park
·        Buffalo Grove
·        Lake Forest

This is a family and media friendly event.  “We are amazed by the support we continue to receive from Northbrook Court.  The involvement of the high schools is so great.  These kids are learning the importance of charitable work in their community in a fun and fresh new way.  We are humbled,” said Francie Paul, Chairman of the BOD and President of the Saving tiny Hearts Society.

Northbrook Court will be donating $1500.00 in the name of the school that comes in first.  There is still time to vote and show off your school spirit while supporting an amazing organization.  Voting can also be done online https://www.savingtinyhearts.org/HeARTists.html

About the Saving tiny Hearts Society (StHS)
Since 2006, the Saving tiny Hearts Society (StHS) has been working to fulfill its mission of raising seed money for grossly under-funded, lifesaving grass roots research of congenital heart defects (CHD’s). This seed funding acts as a bridge for this research to millions of dollars of extramural funding from the National Institute of Health (NIH) or other outside funding. To date the StHS has raised and granted over a $1.5 million dollars and funded sixteen (16) research projects.

The StHS has no paid employees and our organization and board of directors functions with only volunteers who share the passion for helping to share in the passion for helping to prolong, improve and save the lives of these children born with congenital heart defects.
