“We want to take some financial stress off this family and provide James’ family with the means to continue the therapy that is going to help him overcome specific challenges and improve his quality of life.”

Miami and Surrounding Areas—Platinum Insurance Group announced the debut of its charity program, designed to benefit the local community, one family, person, or organization at a time. The agency will work closely with nonprofit organizations in the Miami, FL area, to nominate a new beneficiary going through significant hardship every 30-60 days. The idea is to create a campaign to help the elected individual or family with immediate needs, such as living expenses, medication, transportation and rebuilding costs.

Each new cause will showcase a full story about the family, individual, or organization on a designated donations page. With the newly launched program, Platinum Insurance Group takes responsibility for promoting that page through its many channels, to include its own database of thousands of customers, business partners, staff, neighbors and friends.

The agency also reserves a full page of its monthly publication, Our Hometown magazine, to feature the campaign and the details about the chosen family. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue of the magazine can be accessed here: http://www.platinuminsurancegroup.net/Our-Hometown-Magazine_47

To launch the campaign, Heather Hewitson, the agency’s principal, decided to feature James, a local child suffering from Cerebral Palsy.  James attends physical therapy do help him walk and talk, but the costs associated with therapy are extremely high on his parents elementary school teacher salaries.  James has to overcome many challenges, so Platinum Insurance Group felt compelled to help by providing his family with the resources to continue his treatment. Donations to James and his family can be made at the dedicated ‘Go Fund Me’ page, supported by Platinum Insurance Group, at http://www.gofundme.com/HelpingJames, where even $5 contributions can make a significant difference.

“Seeing your child face these difficult challenges is hard enough,” said Heather Hewitson, of Platinum Insurance Group. “We want to take some financial stress off this family and provide James’ family with the means to continue the therapy that is going to help him overcome specific challenges and improve his quality of life.”

To join Platinum Insurance Group in their effort to help James, donors are encouraged to visit http://www.gofundme.com/HelpingJames and share the page with their friends and family through social media and email.
