San Diego, CA USA – WEBWIRE

The Elizabeth Hospice is grateful to the following contributors for generously supporting the fifth annual Wings of Hope Butterfly Release event, scheduled for May 18, 2014: $5,000 from the Jewish Community Foundation Mel and Betty Cohn Donor Advised Fund and $5,000 from The Raymond Foundation at the San Diego Foundation.

Two Wings of Hope events will take place on May 18 at two different times and locations: 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, located at 1340 North Escondido Blvd. in the Salon Room; and 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort and Spa located at 1 Ponto Rd., Carlsbad in the Shearwater Ballroom.

“The Elizabeth Hospice Wings of Hope celebration allows the community to pay tribute to the lives of those who are dear to us - both past and present,“ said Jack Raymond, Board Trustee, The Elizabeth Hospice Foundation. ”It is also a symbol of our appreciation to the community for their support of The Elizabeth Hospice over the past 36 years"

“I’ve been personally touched and amazed by The Elizabeth Hospice’s extraordinary care and services through the years,” said Mel Cohn, a long-time supporter of the nonprofit organization. “It’s a privilege to support such a strong and worthwhile organization like The Elizabeth Hospice.”

The event has grown in popularity over the years, as community members pay tribute to those who have touched their lives and in appreciation for the care and support received by The Elizabeth Hospice during their loved one’s end-of-life journey.

“We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support we receive from the community and for our upcoming Wings of Hope celebration,” said Jan Jones, President and CEO of The Elizabeth Hospice. “We look forward to the community’s participation on May 18, 2014.”

Attendance to this family event is free and open to the community. Registration is required. A $25.00 donation is appreciated for each butterfly released.
