Everyone knows the fans are the most important element in any sports growth. So someone with the right amount of talent, vision, and creativity, could really do something cool with a name like this.”

A collection of Supercross domain names (including two one-word names) have been listed for sale on eBay, in an auction ending one-day after the conclusion of 2014 season in Las Vegas, Nevada. One of the names could fetch the winner an opportunity to become the internet’s most recognized Supercross fan.

That name, SupercrossFan.com, could be thought of as the equivalent of a (virtual) vanity license plate by some. But James Massey, the names current owner, thinks there may be other opportunities available to the right buyer.  Especially when you take the large number of racing fans into consideration.

“I don’t know how many fans there are. But I’ve been a fan since the late 1970’s and I’ll bet there are a lot of fans (long term) like me, with tens of thousands added every year. Everyone knows fans are the most important element in any sports growth. So someone with the right amount of talent, vision, and creativity, could really do something cool with a name like this.”

The SupercrossFan.com name, and two additional one-word Supercross domain names, will be sold together in a winner-takes-all eBay auction which ends May 4th, at 5pm (PST). One day after the Las Vegas finale.

The auction can be found by clicking the SupercrossFan.com link, or by searching for “Supercross Name” on eBay.
