Complete K-12 Report: 2014 - Broad Market Coverage, With Strong Focus On Supplemental Products

Stamford, CT – WEBWIRE

The Complete K-12 Report: 2014 contains thoroughly updated and expanded market intelligence, based on EMR’s own proprietary survey research in K-12 Market Size & Structure, Market Size for Textbooks & Supplemental Materials, Market Size and Growth Rates for Digital Products and Services, The Reading Market, The Mathematics Market, The Effects Of Common Core State Standards, Public School Enrollments & Funding, and much more!

All sixteen chapters are updated, of course, with most of them 100% updated, and one of them brand new to this year’s edition.

Along with this extraordinarily broad market coverage, the new report paints a detailed portrait of the Supplemental Products Market.

SUPPLEMENTAL PRODUCTS MARKET:

Analysis Of Supplemental Sales By Product Application

EMR’s survey respondents were asked to allocate their total Pre-K - 12 supplemental sales by product application or function. They were given twenty-three possible application choices, plus “Other”. The biggest jumps were recorded for periodicals (+17.0%), online/digital content (+19.0%), supplemental textbooks (+21.5%), interactive whiteboards (+6.9%), and computing/mobile devices (+7.2%).

Looked at another way, if all of the digital product applications are grouped together, this segment was up a respectable 5.6% for the year. The remainder of the non-digital products recorded a 4.9% decline for the year.

There was some indication as early as EMR’s 2009 survey that digital products were beginning to gain ground on their more traditional alternatives. The 2011, 2012, and now the 2013 EMR survey results make it clear that digital products have not only gained traction in the K-12 school market for supplemental educational products, they are starting to dominate, accounting for somewhere in the neighborhood of 30%-40% of the total supplemental market sales activity and growing at a steady rate.

Today’s school market has evolved and expanded. Thus it is necessary to go beyond the “old stand-by” sources in order to get an accurate picture of today’s dynamic K-12 school market, and that is precisely what this report does. The powerhouse combination of noted researchers and analysts, headed by Dr. Robert M. Resnick, founder of Education Market Research, makes an all-star team capable of delivering a report with incomparable depth and breadth of intelligence, insight, and analysis.
