Former St Frances Xavier Graduate Vies For Miss World Canada 2014
Brieanna McCutcheon, a 23 year old former St Francis Xavier High School Graduate, hopes to be Miss World Canada 2014
"Every high school girl would love to be Miss World"
– A 23 year old Former St Francis Xavier High School graduate has set her sights on a national prize and is hoping to gain enough votes from friends and fans to represent her city on a national level. Brieanna McCutcheon is currently one of 38 contestants in the race for the Miss World Canada title, the Canadian qualifier for the Miss World pageant.
“As a soccer player, I had to learn the importance of comradery and sportsmanship in the face of competition. It’s a great training grounds for Miss World Canada 2014. I’ll always cherish attending SFX” Brieanna says. “I’m also grateful for the opportunity to participate in Miss World Canada because it represents another wonderful way for me to give back.”
Brieanna is a passionate community volunteer and takes part in a diverse range of charitable works, including mentoring a young girl with Big Brothers Big Sisters, helping disadvantaged women prepare a presentable and confident work image through the Suit Yourself program. Also, she takes part in activities like serving Meals on Wheels, visiting children’s hospitals and reading to students at local elementary schools.
She is seeking sufficient votes to make the Miss World Canada Top 10. Voting happens online at missworldcanada.ca and closes May 10, 2014. The 10 contestants with the most votes will compete for the Miss World Canada title.
