AES Showcases New Tools that Speed Deployment and Support of Award-Winning Alarm Monitoring Solution, at ISC West

Network Connectivity Tool and Configuration and Diagnostic Tool Slash Time and Cost of Operating AES-based Services

PEABODY, MA – WEBWIRE

AES Corporation, the leading manufacturer of private wireless communications equipment, today announced the first public showing of two new tools that boost user efficiencies and reduce installation time associated with deploying and supporting AES-IntelliNet fire and burglary alarm communications solutions. At ISC West, taking place April 2-4, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada, AES will unveil its Network Connectivity Tool (NCT) and Configuration and Diagnostic Tool (CDT), which provide a fast, easy way for dealers and installers to test locations for network connectivity and configure and diagnose AES-IntelliNet units.

“As alarm companies face the costly realities of replacing sunsetting 2G/3G cellular and POTS technologies, more and more of them are turning to AES. With our operator-owned, private wireless mesh networks, customers get a highly reliable, scalable solution with no third-party fees and no obsoleting technologies,” said Gary Shottes, President, AES. “By speeding the installation and servicing of our AES-IntelliNet solution, the NCT and CDT make it even easier for operators to grow profitable businesses.”

“The more we can expand our AES footprint, the better it is for our business,” said Jeff Kahn, General Manager, Wayne Alarm Systems. “With the NCT, we can quickly map suitable locations for AES-IntelliNet units, cutting the time required to evaluate each subscriber unit location by at least 30 minutes. Now it’s easier than ever to go-to-market with a solution that’s differentiated on reliability, longevity and TCO.”

ISC West attendees can see the NCT and CDT in action at AES booth #6034.

AES Network Connectivity Tool:  Quickly Validate Installation Locations
The NCT helps companies sell and install AES-IntelliNet subscriber units into new or existing AES-based networks. Instead of having to pull actual subscriber units from stock to test field locations, customers can evaluate viability in less than 30 seconds using the simple, one-button-operation tool.

The light-weight (2.6 lbs) NCT fits in the palm of the hand and can typically run for days without recharging the battery, making it convenient for sales and installer personnel to carry just about anywhere. Its bright NetCon number display and path count indicator LEDs ensure users can read results under any conditions.

AES Configuration and Diagnostic Tool:  Streamline Pre-Configuration Setups and Diagnostic Checks
High-volume alarm dealers and distributors can use the CDT to accelerate field and in-house pre-configuration setups for AES-IntelliNet subscriber units. Technicians can quickly update and modify operational parameters. By enabling IntelliNet units to be configured three to five times faster than previously, the CDT saves tremendous time for customers who work with hundreds of units on a given day.

The CDT extends AES handheld programmer functionality with integrated diagnostics for subscriber health and operational parameters. Designed for convenience and ease of use, the CDT weighs less than one pound and automatically uploads selected parameters to subscriber units with the click of a button.

Availability
The NCT is available immediately for purchase. The CDT will be available in April, 2014.
