Global Response to Deploy AT&T Technology in New Technology River Call Center

Technology River, Michigan, August 16, 2006, Global Response North Corporation, a complete customer contact support company based in Technology River, Michigan has selected AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) to help turn its idea of building a state-of-the-art customer call center in rural northern Michigan into reality.

AT&T Inc. will provide Global Response North Corporation with a high-speed digital network and data services for its new call center, which will open Tuesday, September 5, in Iron River. The call center will initially employ 20 to 40 people, and as many as 85 within 24 months.

Global Response North will be operating as “Global Response” under a license with Global Response Corporation of Margate, Florida. Global Response Corporation is privately held, and processes more than one million inbound calls a month. Its services also include outbound calls, e-mail and live chat, and customer service for direct marketers, including some of the most recognizable brands in the nation, Shooster said.

It also will be relying on AT&T’s Managed Internet Service and AT&T Frame Relay, which connects its Technology River center with its Florida operations, providing its Michigan employees with the same network and data access as employees at the company’s Florida headquarters.
