PSE launches EDGE mobile application

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) officially launched its new disclosure engine known as PSE Electronic Disclosure Generation Technology (EDGE) with a bell ringing ceremony. Aside from the EDGE website (edge.pse.com.ph), the Exchange announced that the mobile app version of the portal is already available and can be installed for free through iOS and Android.

“PSE EDGE mobile application is an unparalleled service that we are giving to stock market investors here and abroad. This program of the PSE fits well in our overall efforts to continue to enhance governance and transparency in the market.  As fast paced as the markets have become, we realize that providing access to critical information about our investments will need to keep pace and in this case, should know no bounds.  With this new mobile application, we have practically put information at everyone’s fingertips,” said PSE Chairman Jose T. Pardo in his opening remarks during the bell ringing ceremony.

The mobile app has nine main segments namely: Corporate Information, Company Announcements, Financial Reports, PSEi Company Disclosures, Dividends and Rights, Halts and Suspensions, Exchange Notices, ETF and Other Reports. The EDGE mobile app also has a My Page feature which allows users to identify up to 10 listed companies as favorites. Notifications on the latest disclosures of companies that users tag as favorites will be automatically sent to EDGE app users real time. Another notable feature of the app is the Share function which gives users the flexibility to share the app via Facebook, Twitter, e-mail and SMS.

Executives from Korea Exchange, the Securities and Exchange Commission and players from the San Mig Super Coffee Mixers and Ginebra San Miguel were present to witness the ceremony.
